In addition to undertaking the normal range of survey work associated with construction projects, members of the practice have developed a high degree of expertise in structural and condition surveys and reports, building services inspections and reports, appraisals in assessing, maintaining and conserving historic buildings.

Building Law
We have expert knowledge of the RIAI and GDLA forms of contract . We are retained by a no.of legal firms pertaining to matters of building law and practice.

3D Modelling
The design office uses CAD systems as well as engineering design systems. Three-dimensional images are more accurate and easier to interpret than architectural drawings, so good ideas can be communicated better and misunderstandings eliminated. Our clients can analyse this model thoroughly from all angles in order to maximise the potential of the design and eliminate any potential design flaws. 3D Modelling technology can develop detailed virtual reality tours allowing clients, planning authorities and potential investors to 'fly through' the proposed development.

Conservation
Shane Santry has successfully completed the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland Conservation Induction Module Lecture Series and Final Assessment. The course content and syllabus covered topics / subjects including;

Historical Research techniques
Conservation led Structural solutions
Surveying and Recording
Condition Surveys and investigative techniques
Building Regulations and its application to Historical Buildings

This course enables the participant to prepare and furnish Conservation reports including photographic surveys together with building assessment studies. It teaches the student the key elements in terms of preparation by way of building research techniques. In addition to the above, also included was a practical demonstration of Lime Mortars, Renders and Plasters in Rathfarnham Castle.

The course prepares the Architect to deal with all facets of the Conservation process and to adapt this thinking into the day to day running of construction / refurbishment project. This demonstrates a wealthy appreciation and regard for our built heritage.

Urban Design
We are currently engaged in a range of urban masterplans for Local Authorities throughout Ireland.

Project Management
Through our experience of the construction process and previous build experience we can offer high quality project management.

Cost Control
We currently retain a qualified Quantity Surveyor to assist on project cost control. By insourcing this service, we can offer clients better value and control on projects. This facilitates accurate initial project projections.
